At the heart of ELM Kids & Co. are two women — two mums — trying our best.
I’m Amy, a rural paediatric occupational therapist, educator, and new mum.
Sarah is a talented teacher, artist, and our Creative Officer. She’s also a mum raising three incredible kids. Together, we created ELM Kids & Co. with a shared vision: to provide playful, purposeful, nature-inspired tools and support for families and educators.
We’re clinicians and creatives — but also mums, wives, daughters, and active members of our community. And the truth is? This juggle has been a lot.
💛 The Reality Behind the Vision
Like so many working mothers, we’ve tried to wear all the hats:
✅ Showing up for our clients and students
✅ Running a heart-led small business
✅ Being present at bedtime, kinder drop-offs, and school concerts
✅ Keeping up with Instagram algorithms
✅ Managing emails and product development at 10pm
✅ Navigating the emotional weight of burnout and financial pressure
We don’t say this for sympathy. We say it for honesty. Because behind the curated content and thoughtful resources are two women who also get overwhelmed.
🌿 Why We’re Stripping It Back
After much reflection (and more than a few cups of coffee), we’ve made the conscious decision to simplify.
We’re rebranding and relaunching as ELM Kids & Co.
We’re going back to our roots — holistic, play-based, and nature-aligned
We’re stripping back the extras: no more paid subscriptions, automated platforms, or pressure to do it all
And we’re focusing instead on what matters most: impact, community, and care.
We’ll continue to offer our thoughtfully created tools and printables — but with more free information available right here on the blog. Because giving back has always been part of our why.

We’re still here. Still dreaming. Still quietly building.
But this time, it’s slower. Softer. More sustainable.
